Reunion 2009

Open letter to all members:

The reunion committee, after much research, has concluded that a change of dates for the reunion may be in order.

The month we presently have (June) is in the “High” season and rates are up to reflect the increased traffic at the hotels.

It is requested that the members allow the reunion committee to explore other dates for the reunion.  The “shoulder“ (off season) months, those prior to or after the High Season (normally summer), may well afford us a better rate.  Temperatures would also be more moderate, fuel prices are normally lower in the “off season” and airlines are not as badly over booked.

The Committee is looking at the following time frames:

Mid April to Mid May
Or:
Late September to Late October

Replies to George Bradley by June 10th, are respectfully requested.

OPEN LETTER TO THE MEMBERSHIP

As the database manager I’ve found a number of our members and put them in touch with the unit web page and added their data to the member roster.  I could not have found so many with out the help of other members.  I am now asking for your continuing support with the effort to find more members.

Please look at the member roster.  Let me know if you have any information about any of the members listed by name only.  It will help if you can furnish first names, middle names, city/state home of record, last known address, any contact you might have had by mail or phone.  Check the spelling.  I’m sure I’ve made a mistake or three.  I’ve caught a couple myself.

To get a name entered on the member roster you don’t really have to know any more than a name and that he served with the Bn at some time.  Of course it helps if you have more.  Yes, the list is growing, but I feel like we are short about 5,000 folks.  Maybe even more!

Send in all those names folks.  Keep those cards and letters coming!
